Wiring Dehumidify Function on Thermostat

I am trying to figure out how to wire my carrier edge thermostat to take advantage of my furnace dehumidify function. I know that the connection from dry contact #2 goes to the furnace dhum terminal but my question is what do I do with dry contact #1? It appears from the wiring diagram that it should connect with the RH wire but I am unfamiliar with the wiring symbol that is used at the point of connection. What does this symbol mean?

My setup is listed in figure 30 on page 75 of the attached manual.
