Window unit want turn on.

I have a 220v window unit that was running when pulled and stored in December, I cleaned and re-installed it and now it isn't doing any thing. I have power up to unit thermostat. I also have power to the 3 wires [approximate 14 -16 gauge] connected to the side of compressor.I understand how ac's work but don't know the workings of the electrical portion of unit. Any trouble shooting help would be appreciated.

Check the capacitor. If the compressor has power but doesn't run then either the capacitor is bad or the compressor is seized.

Either the stat is bad, the run cap is bad, or its not getting 240 volts.

Confirmed 220 to selector switch. Found wiring schematic and unit has a dual capacitor. Could it be the probably? How could it be checked?

Use a meter that can read microfarads.

By confirmed 220 volts. the meter actually read 220 volts on its line side and its load side, correct.

Fixed bad pole in box. But in mean time I had pick up another window unit and was having same problem. Now second unit is working. Haven't gotten a chance to try first unit again. I think it should run also.
Thanks for help..
