Window A/C with no window

I assume this is possible...I want a standard wind A/C unit with no window. Anyone ever done this, and what would I trim it out with...

Thanks

Spuce so it won't rot. set it one foot from ceiling ...make sure exterior roof line does not interfere with discharge air.

Don't get a window A/C. get a thru the wall A/C. It will have its own casement, so it can be serviced later down the road. Without having to pull the framing around it apart.

Hey Been, window units slide out of their cases too.

Some do, many don't. Thru the wall units have their condenser air intake usually further back so the wall doesn't interfere with air movement.

Are they quieter? Window shakers are noisy and not my cup of tea. Post a pic of a good one if you can.

Depends on the unit, some are made better sound wise then others.

Panasonic, and GE are often the quietest ones.
