Will the New CTK03 control basic function..

Will the New CTK03 control basic function of my outside condenser (Goodman ssx160361a 3Ton 16seer) ??
I realize that the setup wont be ideal.. But my furnace (Goodman GCVM960604cx) is Comfortnet compatible...And was hoping that the thermostat would control all of its functions,...while at least controlling basic function of my outdoor unit ..even though it is not comfortnet compatible?
Any info appreciated
Thx

CTK03 Install manual.

This control may only be used with certain system configurations. Valid system configurations for which this control can be used are:
• A communicating air handler matched with a communicating outdoor AC condensing unit.
...
• A communicating furnace matched with a non-communicating single stage AC condensing unit.

Hey taxmantoo... Is the information re the working ability of the ctk03 thermostat ...based on previous experience or can it be quoted from Goodman? The fellow I spoke with at the ac place stated that it isn't guaranteed to work "I would be going into uncharted waters"?
Any further info appreciated

Click on my link for the install manual in my earlier post.
Open it up in Acrobat Reader (it's a pdf) and read page 3. That's where I got the information I quoted concerning the possible system types.

EDIT: I just flipped through the install manual and can't find the instructions for wiring a non-communicating AC. Maybe the furnace controls the AC unit? It sure doesn't look like there are any cooling outputs on the thermostat to connect the thermostat to the AC.

Here's the furnace install manual. Unfortunately it doesn't specify how to wire the non-communicating AC either.

I spoke with Goodman tech support...they said it'll work fine and referenced this page. Thank you once again http://www.comfortnet1.com/FAQs/tabid/1766/Default.aspx
stating, A single-stage air conditioner, however, can be connected using the Y1 and C terminals on the furnace’s control board.
