Why is my a/c weak every time I turn it on for the season?

what I meant big companies is not HD... but some special store who do nothing except air conditioning and they do it themselves for many installations, not like hiring different contractors to do it... but have their own contractors and probably the Boss(es) are themselves installing... I trust those people more... as sounds like the guy who install for the poster didn't do the job right the first time.... should have been covered by warantee for the situation...

Why is my a/c weak every time I turn it on for the season?

My air condition went again.

I contact someone else, and they were able to locate a leak.

The leak is in the large elbow section of the pipe that goes into the coil.
(It is soldered (sp)?

He found that the coil was half frozen and half hot.

We have decided to contact the other guy, (who charged me twice and did not fix the problem, because he could not find it).

And I have decided that I will not pay him for fixing something that I have already paid for twice.

If anyone can give me an idea of the process for this, I would appreciate.

1) Remove the remaining freon in the system.

2) Pressurize the system with nitrogen.

3) Leak check with liquid leak detector (soap like solution)

4) Locate leak / repair

5) Repressurize and retest.

6) Evacuate with vacuum pump. (triple sweep)

7) Charge system.
