White Ridgers HSP-2000

I just installed this humidifier on my new American Standard Heat Pump system. Everything seemed to go well and it fired up right away. The issue I have is that it never came back on after the first cycle and the house humidity is only at 34%. I unplugged the unit and plugged it back in and it came on again. Seems to stop after the first cycle. The only thing I noticed, during the install, is that the schematic called for a connection to "C" which I assumed was a common for the control board. There was no "C" connection on the terminal block so I measured everything and it seemed that W1, W2 & W3 were ground voltage so I used these. Could that be the problem or do I have an issue with the HSP? Thanks

W's are not commons. Follow the transformer leads. One will go to R and the other is common.

Thanks, works fine now. Out of curiosity, what are the W's for?

W's are your back up heat terminals.
