where to position the main trunk?

in my basement, there are two main beams. i want to run the main trunk under one of these. when the branches cross the other beam, should i use two 45 degree elbows to get the duct up between two joists?

would having the main trunk closer to one side of the basement so that the braches are approximatley twice as long on one side rather than the other be ok? (i have not done the duct calculation yet, waiting on blower specs)

how far can the pvc flues on the newer furnaces run horizontaly in the basement before exiting the house?

how do i cross under the return main trunk with the supply braches?

Best to use 45's.

You can have one side loner then the other.

The allowable vent length varies with the furnace brand and model.

will there be a manual with all this stuff in it with the furnace? do they the all give figures for the external static pressure?

The furnace manual, will give you the CFM at different static pressures.

No other duct instructions though.
