What is the temperature of the water in a water to air AC unit?

What typically is the temperature of the water in a water to air AC unit?

Do they still use freeon in those?

A chilled water coil runs in the 50 degF or less range and the cool water is produced by a chiller or refrigeration unit which nowadays uses the less ozone depleting refrigerants. Freon is a generic name invented by DuPont I believe.

Thanks!

Is the chilled water more efficient or less expensive than a condenser type unit, or is a condernser all around better?

Not sure why you are asking. Chilled water is for multiple condos and large commercial/institutional jobs (hospitals etc) with one large over 50 ton unit. Efficiency has to do with the design of the machine.

Just curious, there are some condos, that have an individual condenser for each unit on the roof from what I've been told.

FYI: Chillers:http://www.trane.com/Commercial/DNA/View.aspx?i=975

The units you see are probably your average freon split system with condensor on roof.
