What are the effects of having a 4 ton condensor unit and 3 ton evap coil?

I looked closely at my current hvac setup and this is the case at my house.
I hava 4 ton outside unit and due to the small space available for the evap coil they put a smaller 3 ton coil in place.
What will this cause short and long term? anything immediately?

They probably put less freon to balance out the pressure? I know my guy put in a 3 ton unit with a 4 ton coil and all is fine.

Anybody knows what happens if the evap coil is smaller than the condenser?

Less refrigerant would just make the coil freeze up quicker.

Depends how much air the blower is moving. It may remove more moisture from the air, and work ok. But the system is NOT a 4 ton system anymore with that smaller coil.
