What is the best way to put 3/4" radiator line through wood?
Need some experienced advise.
Before I run my zone lines in my crawlspace to my baseboard's 3/4" copper stubs which come through the floor from the living space above, I need to put in my baseboard first. What is the best way to drill through my wood floor for the 3/4" baseboard radiation lines? How big a diameter hole, and how should I finish the hole around the copper pipe?
Just because it is 3/4 doesn't always mean that is the size to drill. Get out all the drill bits you have in that general size and hold it up to the pipe to check a go/no go situation. You can also get some escution rings to go over th pipe to fill any gaps. You might want to look at those rings before you hog out a 1 1/2 hole though. They may not fit your decorating taste.
Thanks for the reply Cal.
