What is the best brand for a furnace

I have a 2 story townhouse built in 1989. What is the best brand for a high efficiency furnace? and what is the best price for the value?

We don't do pricing or brand comparisons here. The quality of the installation, longevity and reputation of the contractor are most important.

There is no "best brand". About 82% of my service calls can be traced back to poor installation, duct installation, sizing or other "external" conditions not properly performed.

Choose a professional and not price.

2 stage or modulating I guess are the 2 main furnace differences. I'm not even mentioning single stage because this day in age it makes no sense. Modulating is nice for comfort but can cost a bit more than a 2 stage furnace

Best brand, the one that parts are readily available for in your area.

Best price, the one where the contractor will return your calls and come out if their are any warranty issues down the road.

If your gonna DIY, the best price is the one that they will ship your parts over night no charge if it breaks down.
