Weil-Mclain boiler question

Hi,
I had a new Weil-Mclain boiler installed last fall. The model is a CGi-4. They installed it using a primary and secondary loop with each loop having a circulating pump. When the boiler is engaged both pumps run at the same time. My question is that I thought only the pump on the primary loop ran all the time with the pump on secondary loop turning off and on when the burners fired. When the boiler was installed was it not wired quite right or is this boiler not capable of turning the secondary pump on and off?
Thanks for your input
JJ

Weil-Mclain boiler question

Both pumps are suppose to run at the same time.

The burner cycles on and off so as not to over heat the water.

If its circulator also shut off, then you wouldn't get any heat to your heating loop.

Its wired, and working properly.
