Weathermaker SX Model 58SX080-BC-1 Series 150

I have a Carrier Weathermaker NG furnace model 58SX080-BC-1 series 150. The blower fan does not kick on when heat exchanger comes up to temp. Service guy says needs a new board, the limit/thermostat checks OK. $500 for new board, looking for a used board if anyone has one or way to fix this. I can leave fan on manual and heats house OK, but fan runs continuously.

I think you can find that board cheaper if you shop around. I suggest having the secondary heat exchanger inspected on that SX furnace. The secondaries have problems with the lamination washing off and rusting out. Lifetime warranty on the heat exchanger.

I know the price sounds high, but its right in line with industry. I recommend that you have the work done and fill good about your choice. The better companies stand behind there work you may pay more put you get more.
