Weathermaker 9200 Blower Motor Not Working
Carrier Model 58MXA080-16 blower motor not turning on.
After initiating the Component test sequence by shorting the "test" and "C" terminals, the test starts with the inducer motor running (OK), then the igniter (OK), but the next sequence for the blower motor does not work. I tested the black terminal to common for voltage and no voltage. Can anyone help with next step of t-shooting. Steve (Littlefoot) |
what do you get when you put the stat to FAN/ON no cooling....if nothing remove the stat off the subbase...jump direct R to G that should be diret supply ait fan hi speed....if nothing happen the board in the furnace might be the problem....do the same jump on R to G on the board in the furnace stat still of subbase...

Jumping R to G seems to energize a relay, but I am not sure what relay it is, and the blower motor does not run. I am back to troubleshooting and will need to check the voltage to the motor.
Update: Getting there...No voltage present on the output terminals from board when calling for cooling or heating. Applied 120V to the motor lead (black-high speed)directly and fan is running. Turned the thermostat to cool and all systems are functional. Does this mean for certain that the board is bad? |
