Which way should coil face.

I have a CHPF amana coil that is an "A" type coil. The install paperwork says it is bi directional. My question which way should the apex (point of the A) face. Toward the furance or the plenum? I'm sure is just a mater of choice but you guys have done this a few times before.

Also what is the best way to attach the drian pan. Coil is attached directly to furance, drain pan is a little bigger then coil. I just want to hang it below the coil.

I don't have to get a custom one made that goes under the furance and coil do I? No water should be in the furance. If I have to get one made I'm looking at 4-5 days and close to 200 bucks. I would like to use the one I have.
