Warranty Question for the Pros (Carrier)

Is there a Carrier dealer (or someone who can ask a Carrier dealer) what the compressor warranty is/was on a 38YXA048300 Heat Pump.

This is a Heat Pump, R410A and to the best of my limited memory, the serial # indicates that it was born in 1999. It has a serial # of 0999E05185. I know that many of the manufacturers use the first two digits to indicate the week, and the 3rd & 4th digits to indicate the year. In this case it would be the 9th week of 1999. This is theory on my part, so need some help.

And an additional question:

If in fact this is 10 year compressor (which it is now, just not sure of the then). Without a bill of sale, does Carrier use the rule of 6 months after the "born on" date, like many other manufacturers do?

So, after taking off my shoes and doing a count, would a 10 year compressor, born on March 1st of 1999 peg out the warranty at the end of July of 2009?

I'm not sure what there date is, if it wasn't listed when it was installed.

I think its longer then 6 months.
