Venting to outdoors - clearances to windows

Does anyone know if there are any code requirements that state the minimum distance from outdoor vents (range hood) to openable windows?

I would like to vent my range hood straight back through an exterior wall, but the exterior outlet would be about 4 feet from a bathroom window. My other alternative is to go up through a cabinet and then through the roof, but this would be a lot more difficult.

Clean the dryer screen in HOT water if using fabric softener sheets.
They leave a residue that impedes air-flow, costing you money.
Clean the ducting in the last six months? 17,000 dryer fires annually!
