Venting High Efficiency Burnham SCG4NI-TS

We were told that this boiler could be vented into the existing chimney, but the supplier said that he thought we needed a stainless steel liner to be installed in the chimney first. THe chimney will only be used by the new gas boiler, and was used by the old oil boiler which wasn't high efficiency...Do we need to line the chimney to install the new boiler?
