Used oil

Can I convert my (oil fired) forced hot air heater (was used for the house) in my garage (heats garage only) to use, used motor oil and will it still work on heating oil? If so, is that a do-it-yourself thing and what would I need?

Used oil

In a word, No...

Used motor oil is dirty nasty stuff that requires a dedicated burner, that needs cleanin' at least weekly...

Used oil

Agree with Bondo. You can but need dedicated burner. I do all Valvoline oil changing stores here in Dayton and they use motor oil. I'm always have to maintain it every 3rd week
