Two quick questions??
I live in Arizona just North of Phoenix. Needless to say my electric bill has been pretty high for the last 2 months. I came across a device that sprays a mist of water around the a/c units outside to reduce the ambient air temp so the compressor doesn't have to work as hard. Does anybody have a system like this installed on there a/c units and do they work at cutting the elec. bill as much as 20-30%? Second question I have a 2 story house with all the bedrooms being upstairs, the cold air returns are in the main hallway upstairs. When the units kick on, they will suck the doors closed on the bedrooms if the doors are almost shut. Once they are shut they are hard to open due to the units creating a pressure difference on the door. I have had somebody tell me to install flat grats on either side of the doors and this will stop. Does anybody else have any ideas as to why I'm having this problem and is this my only solution??
