two into one thermostat

I have two thermostats one for AC and one for heat. I purchased a RTH2300B honeywell therm because I was told I could go from two to one. The AC I got to match by letter. The heater part red wire has an x and white wire does not have a label. Instructions says do not use x and not to use unlabeld wire. It is a gas heater. I was told it could be done , What do I do? or how do I do it?

Can you post the brand and model of the furnace?

Where does the wiring off the thermostat for the a/c go? To the furnace?

THanks Ken. I needed a break after all the BS from a couple guys here. Hope it stays calm here.

Been busy as all get out, thought I come and take a look.

Hope things are well with you
