Trunk Line Insulation

I am a longer time viewer and first time poster. I have a main trunk line in my crawl space and have some 2'' stryofoam that I was able to get free from work that was used for shipping purpose's. Can I put this around my uninsulated main trunk line in my crawl space and not have a condensation problem insde the trunk line?

Thanks 1610 Cub. I am thinking liquid nails to attach it to the trunk line and then seal the edges.

Trunk Line Insulation

Hello there,

This was the closest post that I could find in relation to my question and I would love some advice.

I have a very tight crawl that we're getting ready to do a bunch of work on and I am wondering this: Can I use closed cell spray insulation along the entire length of my main trunk supply line in that crawl space to tighten it up, reduce leaks and insulate it. It is currently just your basic sheet metal box style construction. I will be replacing the existing metal rigid duct lines that come off of that with insulated flex ducting.

Thanks for the feedback,
mark
