Trunk End vs. Wye

From all the reading I have done on this subject, the consensus is, having a branch run off the trunk end cap is not good. But what if there are no other branches except the end cap one?

I have an 8" trunk that will supply two 6" branches to floor boots. Instead of having a Wye or Tee for each branch, would it be right to install an 8" x 6" x 6" branch Wye to supply the branch floor boots?

The two floor boots are in roughly the same location, in equally sized rooms, but opposite of each other. The 8" branch Wye will be at the end of the 8" trunk and angle out at a 45 degree angle.

The 8" trunk will have a damper.
