Truesteam and Pure Water from a Reverse Osmosis Filter
I installed a TrueSteam humidifier last year fed directly from the city water supply. It worked well, but lots of scale meaning often cleanings.
I installed a Reverse Osmosis filter for various reasons and figured since it removed the disolved solids, hooked the water feed to it instead of the city water My Question: The True Steam does not seem to be working as well. Does the Pure Water from the RO not boil as well in the TrueSteam? Thanks Mark |

You need some mineral content in order to have the proper conductivity of the water in order for the unit to function correctly. I know that GENERALAIRE makes a low conductivity steam cylinder. I would call Honeywell tech support and ask what test thay need run on your water to help diagnose your situation.
