Truesteam and Pure Water from a Reverse Osmosis Filter

I installed a TrueSteam humidifier last year fed directly from the city water supply. It worked well, but lots of scale meaning often cleanings.

I installed a Reverse Osmosis filter for various reasons and figured since it removed the disolved solids, hooked the water feed to it instead of the city water

My Question: The True Steam does not seem to be working as well. Does the Pure Water from the RO not boil as well in the TrueSteam?

You need some mineral content in order to have the proper conductivity of the water in order for the unit to function correctly. I know that GENERALAIRE makes a low conductivity steam cylinder. I would call Honeywell tech support and ask what test thay need run on your water to help diagnose your situation.
