Truesteam Cleaning

Hello, I have a 12 gallon steamer and I'm getting the 4 blink error code. Followed procedures in book, but can't get the code to clear. Cleaned the tank and still nothing. The contractor I used a year ago is now out of business. Any suggestions or remedies? Why would they not make replacement elements? Both my little girls have eczema and this is one of the things that helps control it in the dry winter air so I have to get something figured out. Thanks for the help!

Truesteam Cleaning

I'm on my third year with my truesteam.
Year 1: Worked ok. Cleaned twice that season.
Year 2: Didn't work well. All green lights but it never brought the humidity above 30% (12 gal unit in a 3500 sq ft house). Cleaned numerous times.
Year 3: This year the thing has not worked. It's either showing a cleaning required message, or (after cleaning) just sits there showing the green humidifying light, but no steam coming out. The water in the tank is getting boiling hot, but the unit drains constantly.

After spending hundreds and hundreds on service visits from HVAC pros, I have decided this unit is totalled. In my opinion these units are junk. Good luck you guys, cleaning away like I did... I wonder if you'll get past year three. There's a five year warranty but good luck with Honeywell on that. Terrible product support and customer service.

Right now I am using two Aeroswiss table top humidifiers and keeping humidity levels well above what the Truesteam ever did. Pain in the *ss filling the tanks twice a day, but way less time spent than with that Truesteam hunk of junk.

My Truesteam came with a 5 year warranty. I don't understand why you had to pay anything. So far mine is still working and can maintain 35 to 40% in my house as long as I don't have my air exchanger running to much.
