Trouble shooting Gas Valve for fireplace

I have replaced the pilot assemble and the gas valve (Robertshaw's 710-511) and the polit light now works. What does not work is the gas is not being passed through the valve to be ignited by the pilot flame. Since the pilot is lit, the thermocouple and the thermopile must be working, correct? What could be checked?

all the electrical connections on the gas valve need to be scraped so there is bare metal showing. the connections need to be TIGHT on the valve also. that system uses 750 millivolts = 3/4 of a volt and any poor connection shuts er down. same with the wiring to the thermostat or switch that turns it on/off.
