Question

Triple wall pipe for furnace

Why would someone put in a triple wall pipe for a gas furnace? Isn't a triple wall pipe meant for wood burners or boilers?

I tried. It is a dark picture, but you can see the pipe.

Don't know why anyone would use a triple wall for a furnace. Perhaps there are reasons.

No picture available. Go to "go advanced" below/with your reply and follow the instructions and post it as a jpeg or use photobucket or imageshack and post a link here. There is no triple wall pipe but it may be running thru a sleeve which is a air gap/fire separation requirement. Have to see it to know better.

May have originally been installed to use oil or wood.

Post pics.

Hello again,

I did put up the picture and then took it off again. I decided since we have not yet purchased the home, I should not be putting it up.

Once we do, I'll be back.

Thanks
