The past furnace had an Intercity inline draft inducer
about 10 feet from the furnace. Repair man had working
with a safety switch with an air pressure tube.
It worked fine when connected to the old furnace.
There were two (white?) wires connected to the furnace.
The new Trane should have a relay that connects it
to 110 volts? But where do these two wires go.
If you need the exact model of the intercity draft
inducer i will supply it. It comes as a kit and is cut
in to the side of the exhaust pipe.
Field Draft Inducers solve the drafting problems caused by short chimneys, undersized flue pipes and negative building pressures.
Draft Inducers are designed for easy installation in a wide variety of applications, including oil or gas-fired furnaces, water heaters, and boilers. For venting single or multiple appliances, use a control kit.
DI Paks are available for 24 volt and millivolt applications and include all controls necessary.
When to use a Draft Inducer
• Long horizontal vent runs
• Undersized flue pipes
• Short chimneys
• Outside exposed chimney this cannot work with my
Trane xv80 2006 new furnace
Am I to understand there is no way to hook this up?
The questions are.
Why doesn't the chimney draft.
Will the inducer caue more problems then it is covering up.
You see that thing they are callng a draft control?
Thats a barometric draft regulator. Does your system have one?
Many 80% frnaces are destroyed by poor chimneys.
