Trane XL80 ignitor won't glow

I have a Trane XL80 model # TUD140R960A. The furnace was blowing cold air. There were 2 flashing lights, system lockout, on the diagnostic indicator. I shut off the thermostat and the furnace. I replaced the fuse. I disconnected the igniter and rubbed with sand paper. I removed and cleaned the flame sensor. I tested the pressure switch by disconnecting the tube and blowing on it and I could hear it engage. I turned everything back on. The inducer fan starts; I then hear a clicking noise from either the pressure switch or the igniter. The igniter wonít glow but the gas comes on then shuts off because it didnít ignite. I rubbed the igniter with my finger, there seems to be am imperfection or crack in one of the loops. (flat loop type igniter) This time the igniter lit but didnít stay long enough to ignite the gas when it came on. It has not glowed since. I then lit the furnace manually with a lighter and it has stayed on until it reached the desired temperature. I suspect a bad igniter but canít find the part number. Could you help me with my next step please?

NEVER sand an ignitor. If it wasn't bad before. It is after you sand it.

Replace it.

Thanks also

I learned not only to not sand it but also not to touch it. Oil from your hand can cause it to arc and ruin it.
Thanks again, I have one on order now.
