Trane XE90 control board dead?

I have a 15 year old Trane XE90 that simply stopped working. Nothing turns on and the control board will not blink. I checked the breakers and all look good.

I assume the control board is dead but is there a way to test it to confirm before I spend a few hundred dollars for a new one?

Thanks,
Mark

First step is check for 24 volts and any open fuse.

Also make sure your door switch is pushed closed as when the door is off the switch is open so no power is getting to the control board.

I'm assuming the lights are not blinking with the door off, why I said that.

Trane XE90 control board dead?

Thanks for the reply, guys.

I am a novice when it comes to furnaces and electrical diagnostics but I want to learn. Is there a recommended furnace repair book or step by step repair manual online that someone knows of? I searched for furnace repair 101 but am coming up short.

As far as checking for 24v, where do I put my probes to determine that?

Thanks,
Mark

Trane XE90 control board dead?

Turns out the control board is OK. I swapped out a bad transformer which then powered the board. Tried to run the furnace, no ignite, and got a pressure switch error. Switched out the pressure switch, furnace lights as it should......but blower won't come on!

After more dinking around, I can get the blower to work with fan on ONLY for about a minute or so. Then it stops. I checked the capacitor and it's fine.

Any suggestions on what to try next? I'm determined to fix this POS myself!!!

Thanks,
Mark
