Recently the blower will not kick on. I hear a hum when the thermostat switch is turned to on. I have discovered if I start the fan by hand then close up the unit, it will run. I assume from what I've read the start capacitor is bad. I see a capacitor mounted on the front of the blower, I believe it's the run capacitor unless it is both, any insight??
Thanks. |

Well, cap changed and back to working order. I was surprised when I tried to discharge the old one that it wasn't holding a charge. I was relieved it didn't pop and scare the poo out of me but was expecting it. I like my electricity better when it's behind a switch. Thanks for the info.
