trane x19i heat pump

I bought a trane x19i heat pump unit but all i want to use is the a\c compresor. I already have a carrier forced air unit with gas heater and a A coil for cooling . My question is what wires do i hook up on the trane to get this to work and which wires from my carrier unit need to hook up to the trane for this to work my old unit only used 2 wires from the forced air unit to turn on the compresor.

This would be interesting to see operate. A 2 stage Heat pump that required a variable speed furnace used as A/C only with a mis-matched evap. Who knows if it is even the correct size? I DONT THINK SO!

Hope you got it for a hundred bucks or less.

Are you going to use it as a single stage A/C.

Not enough info on what furnace you have.

Not to bust on Trane. But, you do know that the 19i, has no cheap parts when it breaks.

New BMW 's are bought completely assembled, with labor and part warranties.

What CFM is used for first stage.
What CFM is used for second stage.

What is the temp difference across the coil in both stages.

Is your TXV balance port, Or are you using a solenoid valve.
Inorder to know if it works perfectly, you would have to know these things.

Without knnowing any of the operating readings. Can't say if it is or not for sure.

Running a 19i in first stage at the air flow second stage is suppose to have, is hard on the low stage compressor.
So, it could shorten the life of the low stage compressor.
Low stage is 50% capacity of second stage.

If its connected to a fixed metering device indoor coil. Then it will have liquid flood back, which can kill either or both compressosr.

Improper install/setup is worse for a 19i, then a 16i.
