I have a diagnostic code indicating an open high limit device. What does that mean and what can I do to fix it? The blower stays on continuosly.
Thanks,
It is a safety device telling you the furnace was too hot. If it can't be reset it will need to be replaced. The hardest part for you will be trying to figure where it is located.
I found the switch. I removed it as a unit still wired and the furnace operated again. I cleaned it w/my shirt sleeve and replaced and working ok for now. We'll see. I never found a manual reset.
thanks
mdcheddarhead, could you pls. give me some pointers on how to go about finding the whereabouts of the switch? thanks in advance!
