Trane compressor trips circuit breaker

I have a 5 year old Trane system. Each time I turn the air conditioning on, some time between 6 to 24 hours later the circuit slides over a little to the left, and the compressor stops cooling. Flipping the switch off and then on immediately starts compressor again. Compressor is on 5th floor roof, 1 block from ocean.
I had the fuse replaced but problem persists.
thank you for any suggestions.
