Tracking replaced condenser coil

As a remedy to a gas leak, the original installer (after several failed attempts to find a leak) claimed the leak was in the condenser coil. It was replaced under warranty. Months later, I still have a leak and recent trobleshooting has pointed to a gas line in the wall.

When a coil is removed under warraty, is it sent back to the manufacturer (Trane) and tested there? What actually happens?

Regards

Tracking replaced condenser coil

Sometimes they want them back, other times they don't. Either way, by now the coil is gone, either back to manufacturer, or to the scrap yard.
