toe kick as plenum question

Hi all
In replacing my kitchen cabinets I run into a problem with an 10 round insulated air duct coming through the floor to feed a room addition. The previous owner had it installed and it was hidden in the bottom an oven cabinet. The duct runs up through the floor and into a duct board box with a 8 x 16 register into a room addition. My question is if I cover the toe kick with insulated duct board which would give me a plenum box size of 3 1/2 x 28 1/2 and install the cabinet over the 10 round pipe and replace the 8 x 16 register with ( 2 ) 4 x 16 register's would this work or would I have problems with air deliver to the addition

Thanks
