Anybody have any experience with a thermostat with a wireless remote sensor?
Just finishing up a sun room addition project and I have a problem with locating a thermostat. Three walls are outside walls and loaded with glass; the only inside wall was completely opened and is a pass through from old construction to new.
The idea is to put the programmable thermostat somewhere near the room and use a table top remote sensor. Here's one I found on-line - 1F85RF-275 Thermostat and Wireless Remote Sensor Kit
One nice feature is that if you have multiple sending units, whichever one has last experienced an input (for example, moving the current set temp up and then back down one degree) becomes the "active" thermostat, this feature can be used to create a primitive "zone" system by temporarily slaving the set point to the temp at a given room or floor.
