Thermostat reset from lockout

Okay guys I am a student with minor field experience so bear with me.

I walked up to the thermostat and it was on hold at 77 degrees farenheit in heat mode. Cooling mode is fine. The t stat was a honeywell by the way but that is irrelevent. Basically I heard that there is a certain way to figure out how to get the t stat out of lockout depending on the buttons on the t stat where there is run program, and hold on the right side and on the left side the tstat buttons are schedule and time. I was never taught how to figure out the combinations of buttons to press to bring it out of lockout and I know that if I disconnect power from the t stat the memory will keep it on hold anyway so that would be pointless. So if you guys can just let me know how to do this that would be cool because what kind of tech would I be if I didnt know it right.

If your asking how to get it to follow the program again. Basically, just push "run program". Thats not a lockout, its just a hold temp feature.
