Thermostat question

I replaced a thermostat today and couldnt get it to work properly. Once installed I couldnt get control of the heat. The fan worked and in 'cool' mode it worked but when switched to 'off' or 'heat' I got nothing. The display went blank. I hooked up Red, Yellow, Green and White exactly as the original one was.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thermostat question

Do you have RH and RC terminals on your thermostat? If so they need to be jumped together.

Thermostat question

I'm not near it now but I think it does have both of them. The original one did not use them so I assumed the new one wouldn't need them either.

Jumper RC to RH. My guess you have the red wire on RC (cooling) and RH (Heating) has no power to it.
