Thermostat problems
I have a Hunter 44110 digital thermostat. When I set the fan to auto, the system to heat, and the desired temperature higher than ambient, I can hear the relay click but the fan does not turn on. If I then set the fan to on, it starts blowing warm air. Once it reaches the set temperature, the heat shuts off and the fan recirculates the air.

When the system is set to cool and the fan to auto, everything functions as it should. The problem started when I replaced the old mechanical thermostat with aforementioned digital one. Any ideas how to fix this issue?

thanks in advance

Sounds like a furnace control board fan relay issue to me. Post the make, model and serial # of the furnace and we may be able to help.

is this a recent problem with "no fan at all" in the auto fan/heating mode. there is a time delay either thru the relay board or a temperature disc that closes the fan circuit down in the furnace for the fan to run "in auto"

Is it an electric furnace.

Some thermostats need to be set to turn on the fan during a heat call, on older electric furnaces.
