Thermostat options - Baseboard + Forced Air

All - I have a heating cooling system composed of 6 zones water baseboard heating and 2 zones forced air cooling. Two of my thermostats are heat/cool, four are heat-only.

I want to replace old non-programmable thermostats with programmable ones, especially the two heat/cool. Questions I have:

1) Will any thermostat work for this? I am looking at the Honeywell RTH7500D 7-day programmable thermostat.
2) Can I put a WiFi thermostat in? How would it get powered/configured?
3) Is there any system that allows me to synchronize the other 4 heating zones? I have an issue with family members touching the heating zones, thinking they are for heat/cool (its a learning process for my family!).

Thanks in advance. First question to the chatroom.

How about changing it all to just ONE single thermostat?
For everything?

You mentioned that you had (at least) 6 thermostats.
Are they ALL of that plain vanilla T87 type?
