I am in the middle of removing old wallpaper in the living room and getting ready to paper again but with a wainscoat this time. The wife would like the thermostat for the boiler lowered on the wall due to a mirror she may want to hang The thermostat is presently centered at 4' 7" but the instructions that came with the new one said put at 5 feet.
Can I assume that if I lower the height a little I just might have to compensate my settings lower to keep the average temperature in the room the same as now? I personally would like to keep it where it is height wise and it will not be moved any to the left or right
Should not make that big of a difference. New electronic tstats are accurate to 1 degF anyway. Check the programming and set it for hot water heat. By default it is usually set for forced air gas heat.
