Thermostat

I just bought my first house and I am literally learning every componant from the attic to the basement so excuse my ignorance.

The house is 70+ years old and as you can see by the photos, my thermostats are old and could use updating.

I would like to get the programmable digital thermostats so I can set it and forget it. We have a WEIL oil burning furnace and we have 3 zones. We do not have AC and the heat is baseboard.

My question is, are the fancy $60 Honeywell thermostats a waste for my system?

No. the $60 thermostats are not all that fancy...take a look at this one, 7 day touch screen. Hands down this is the easiest to operate of any I've owned. The main features I look for, 7 day with a minimum 4 temperature changes per day.
