Thermistat that dpsplays humidity level question.
 
Was at store and saw a honeywell TS that would display the humidity level, and you could "adjust" it. For this to work properly does the central AC unit or furnace need to be a certain type? Hope this isn't do braindead a quesion :)

Yes, it has to be attached to a humidifier unit that is connected to the water supply so that it can add water to the air if necessary. All AC units dehumidify as they cool. Humidification would normally only be necessary in the dry air seasons.

Ok thank you :) One followup question. The display would still be correct in the humidity level it is showing though right? I guess what I should be asking is how does one determine the humidity level in the home?

Yes the displayed room humidity will be correct
