Terminology Help

I need some help with terminology so I can find a local supply of parts for a very old gas wall-mount furnace.

I need to eliminate some vibration "clanking" when the fan turns on...the riser that it is mounted to shakes a little and when I secure it with my hand, the noise stops.

I am looking to change out the very old vibration dampening things (almost like washers) that are on the bolts connecting the fan motor to the riser. The bolts look like 1/4 20.

I was also thinking of getting some sort of high temp rubber shim sort of thing to place in the tight spaces between the riser and the back sheet metal and the front metal.

I am not sure how to properly refer to these items when looking on the internet and calling people.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!!

Terminology Help

sounds like the rubber gromets are dries out that keep the fan tight so the rattling starts but when you steady it up by touching it....if the fan has a squirrel cage on it check the metal fins for dirt build up could be making it shake....when it starts.... like these #3CC00 availible at your local Grainger http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/wwg...N=0&sst=subset
