I hace a tempstar smart comfort 2000 the inside unit comes on and blows normal but the outside unit does not even try to come on i have heard it may be the run capacitator could this be it? And where might it be located

if it had been runnig OK could be the main power to the condenser outside....if you hear a slight buzzing that means the stat is calling for the compressor and fan but the main power isn't there check as suggested circuit breaker inside and or fuses out inside the disconnect..do the world a favor,and shut the stat cooling call off before touching the outside disconnect...if the power is tripped apply it with a cooling call might cause a short if the compressor was the reason it tripped or blew the fuses in the first place...Right
