Swapping the old boiler system to tankless

Was watching a show today and they eliminated the boiler and added a tankless system. I have the radiant heat/ baseboard setup in my home. My home is a duplex and I pay for heat and water for both units. If you're from Nw Indiana you know NIPSCO is high and my January bill was over 700$. I am planning on seperating the gas (it is a legal duplex) and my thoughts were to add a 2nd boiler, because it is radiant heat through out both units. After seeing this show I was just wondering what peoples thoughts were, who have experience in this area?? I'm not so worried about the cost of changing this, granted I will shop around in my area, I just want to know if it is worth it in the long run?

Swapping the old boiler system to tankless

I understand a ModCon boiler would be the most efficient boiler. If you are paying for the heat for both then I see no benefit to a second boiler. If you are wanting the renters to pay for their own heat then you need a separate boiler.

my plan is to seperate it, so the tenants pay their own gas. I plan on moving and keeping this as income property. I cannot afford to pay the gas for 2 families running the heat wide open. That is the whole purpose of the 2nd boiler
