Supply vent exiting on other side of shared wall?
Hi,
My upstairs bathroom and my upstairs bedroom share a wall and I would like to re-direct the supply vent in the bathroom to the bedroom. In fact, I want nothing more than to have the supply 'exit' the shared wall on the bedroom side vs the bathroom side.
Since I know absolutely nothing about HVAC and ductowrk, I sure would appreciate some knowledge on this project. So my quesitons are:
1) Is this feasible for a do-it-yourselfer?
2) Is this simply a matter of me taking off the vent, punching a vent-sized hole in the bedroom, and then redirecting the supply to that room?
3) Is the ductwork typically attached to the vent? How? What's the best way to remove the ductwork from the vent?
4) Any additional advice to make sure I do the job correctly!
