suction lines

I have seen a house where the suction lines are about 100 feet. I know that compacity is an issue. 3/4 is probably not enough, would a 1 1/8 be enough. every comment seems to point to manual d however I do not have one, just a lay person , any ideas or comments?

There are four units not sure of the tonnage. Th site is in the mechanical stage.
