Stumped! Heil furnace.

That's what I thought. It has 24 volts when nothing's happening, but when the pilot lights up it drops down. And that's as far as it goes, main burner never lights.

K, I can't understand how you are checking for voltage while the ignitor is plugged in. If I remember correctly, my ignitor has 2 blue and one..hmmm, some other color wire grouped together at the gas valve.

Is the voltage not just temporary?

I can put volt meter in the top where it plugs in. I just don't want to replace the gas valve if I don't have to. It's not a fun job. Lol But could all this be caused by the circuit board?

Top where it plugs in? Three wires, right? Which two terminals/pins to you put your prongs on to check voltage?
Did I read that you are only supposed to low voltage to the ignitor?

Interesting little tidbit here: Used my proximity tester to make sure the power was off to unit. I removed both lines coming from the panel in the house. I did this and that with the wires just bntback out of the way. When I went to connect the wires back, one hit the unit somewhere and shot sparks!

Might be time to change batteries again.

If that is a Honeywell Smart Valve (the sv in the model number indicates that indeed it is) than the valve is bad once more. 100% certain it's the valve. Those were a poor design with circuit boards inside the gas valve that the solder connections fail.

One thing on those smart valves (stupid valves in all actuality) that I've come across in the field is the plug in pin connectors can be persuaded by using a shim. Put the furnace on call for heat and try and hold the plug in various positions, moving it around while connected, to see if in any certain position it makes contact and allows the furnace to light. I've seen rubber bands and wooden sticks stuck on the side of those connectors to keep it working.
